Mid-year reflection + introspection journal prompts

Happy July! Wow! How did that happen already?!

June was a bit of a busy whirlwind and as the month was drawing to a close, I had the distinct pull to take a time out.

To sit in stillness.

To listen to the sound of silence so I could hear my own internal voice.

To pause and regroup.

It’s no secret that I live in one of the biggest and busiest cities in the world. There is always something to do, somewhere to go or someone to see. If I want a distraction, a way to procrastinate or avoid a certain task or to-do, all I have to do is open my front door.

Over my 15 years here, I’ve learned how much I need alone time to help myself stay connected to my own inner guidance and make sure that I’m in alignment with my goals and desires and continuing to move in the direction of those dreams.

But I know this doesn’t just happen to me...
Or because I live in NYC...

We ALL have busy lives and a list of things vying for our attention, time and energy every day.

It’s important to take time to check in with yourself.

To reconnect with your desires.

To readjust and recalibrate if those desires aren’t being prioritized. Or even if those desires have changed all together.

I believe that we came to this planet to live this life in a way that fulfills our soul and spirit. And when we do that it is also for the greatest good of humanity.

Enjoy this Free Mid-Year Reflection + Introspection with journal prompts questions and inspiration to help you create the BEST next 6 months of your life!

Prompt #1

What went well so far this year?

Questions: Where did I succeed at my goals? Where did things go better than I could have imagined? Where am I feeling satisfied and fulfilled in my life?

Inspiration: Our survival brain is wired to remember the negative, so take some time to really reflect, dig deep, celebrate your wins and give gratitude for ALL the ways your life is a blessing.

Prompt #2

What didn’t go well?

Questions: Where did things not go according to my desires? Where am I feeling stuck or stagnant? Where am I not moving forward in my goals and desires?

Inspiration: We are often our harshest critics so you may find this list easier to make than the one before it. Be kind to yourself and honor these things without self-judgement or criticism. We are all here to learn and grow in our lives and often that happens most by the things that didn’t go well, not the things that came easy to us.

BONUS: See if you can add to the previous list using lessons, growth and experiences that came from those things that didn’t go well.

Prompt #3

How do you want the rest of the year to be different?

Questions: Use the answers from the first two parts to guide you in envisioning your future…What would you like to prioritize? What would thrill you to accomplish? Most importantly, how do you want to feel? What are the activities, people, places, etc. that make you feel that way?

Inspiration: This is your time to put those lessons and learnings from the prior list into practice. The only failure is letting yourself be stopped completely in pursuing your dreams and goals, so now it’s time to recalibrate and re-commit using the lessons of the past to create even more clarity and alignment as you move forward.

To your next BEST 6 months!!
