Create more peace and calm in your life by learning how to embrace change
Feeling a little off kilter from the time change this past weekend?
Maybe you’ve been feeling a bit different since the start of the year.
2025 feels different because it IS different.
The shift in daylight hour is not the only shift that’s impacting us right now.
We’re entering the first of two eclipse seasons for 2025. This season runs from March 13th to April 12th.
Eclipses always bring about big and sometimes swift changes in our lives. They often center around events unfolding in ways that ultimately help us release what’s no longer serving us or working for us, so that we can clear out space to make room for new things that are more aligned and work better for the current version of ourselves and stage that we are in.
Similar to the idea of decluttering your closet and getting rid of clothes that no longer fit, are in style or that you just don't like anymore, so that you can bring in new clothes that are fresh, vibrant and make you feel confident and joyful when you wear them.
During eclipse season this could look like:
Suddenly losing a job
A relationship ending
Moving to a new home or town
This can also bring up patterns in our life that we often feel we struggle with or have been working on for a long time.
This could show up as:
Unexpected bills
Miscommunications
People resurfacing from your past
This particular eclipse season is happening while both Venus and Mercury are retrograde, which means themes of relationships, love (for yourself and others), worthiness and communication could be themes.
While eclipse seasons might seem scary, they are actually a gift.
Their first gift is to help you consider your relationship to change.
The more resistant we are to change the more our brain struggles to control what is and the more we try to hold on to current ways of being.
It can feel a little like white-knuckling it through life.
The more open we can be to looking at our current ways of being and modes of operating from an “observer perspective” and truly being honest with ourselves about what is working well and what isn’t, the more we can allow any changes to occur more gently and with ease.
It's like having an effortless flow.
Consider this question: what is your relationship to change?
Do you fear change and worry that it will make things worse or bring about negative consequences?
Or do you embrace change and trust that it is for the best and bringing something better and more aligned to your life?
How would your "relationship to change" change if you believed that change was good?
How would it feel to move through the current changes in your life with excitement instead of fear?
If there is one thing I know, it is that learning how to embrace and welcome change (even be excited about it sometimes!) on a cellular level, is one of the biggest ways to bring more overarching daily calm and peace into your life.
Change is the only constant in life.
And everything you want that you don't already have is on the other side of change.
