The easiest way to support your health in under a minute
Last week we talked about the power of the heart to improve our physical, mental and emotional well-being. (In case you missed it you can catch up here).
We have the ability to easily tap into that ability through the practice of heart coherence.
Heart coherence is the ability our heart has to bring the rhythms of the body (heart rate, respiratory rate, brain waves, etc.) into a harmonious order with one another which helps your body to function more efficiently and creates more stability overall in the mind and emotions.
So how do we get ourselves into this place of heart coherence?
One way is through the breath. But studies have shown that when using only the breath it’s hard for people to stay in the coherent state for more than a few minutes.
A more effective way, according to studies, allows most people to stay in the state of heart coherence for longer, is through embodied appreciation.
It’s simple, easy and can be done in under a minute. And you probably actually already know how to do it, you just don’t know the steps.

Breathing from the heart/imagine breath originates from the heart
Call to mind something you appreciate, love or care for that gives you a feeling of a regenerative positive emotion
Give those sensations a color, let that color begin to expand and envelop your body
