Techniques to cleanse your energy and ground yourself after travel

It’s almost here!

We finally get to move into the unofficial start of summer this weekend!

I don’t know if it’s because NYC has felt consistently 50 degrees since October, but I feel like I’ve been twiddling my thumbs the entire month of May in eager anticipation of Memorial Day weekend.

With the entry into summer comes increased travel for many of us.

And for many people this feels like the first summer since Covid where it finally feels safe to travel again in the ways that we used to.

I personally LOVE travel.

I love sitting on a plane with a glass of wine and watching a movie or working on creating my next corporate self care workshop.

I love the expanded viewpoint you get the moment that plane takes off and you see the world below you from a completely different perspective.

I love seeing new places and different faces.

I love how it teaches me more about myself and ways that I want to grow while simultaneously making me grateful for exactly who I am and what I currently have.

And for as much as I love travel I will be the first to admit, travel can be incredibly stressful.

There is so much you can’t control.

It takes you out of your routines: your self care routines, sleep routines, eating routines.

And travel, by nature, is incredibly ungrounding.

Like everything in life, I find that making the most out of travel can be a game of embracing and reaping all the rewards while consciously making choices to reduce the repercussions.

Wishing you a happy and healthy long weekend full of sunshine and safe travels if that's part of your plans.
