How a bag of potatoes taught me about abundance

Yesterday I taught an Abundance Themed Meditation Class. I brought them abundance crystals, and we did an activity called Mind Mapping where they each think about different things in their life that make them feel abundant and all the reasons why those things are examples of abundance to them. And of course, we closed with an Abundance Meditation.

When I left, I somewhat reluctantly went to the grocery store (I was tired and very allergyish so would have preferred to go straight home and nap). While shopping, I came across a company giving out samples and testing a new product. I answered a few research questions for them and for my reward they gave me free bag of potatoes (the test product was potato based). And guess what they were called...

Abundance potatoes!!

I kid you not.

Who knew those were even a thing?!

As I continued running my errands, I kept being showered with various forms of abundance.

Seeing people I knew but didn’t realize lived in my neighborhood.

Getting hellos and good wishes from all of my doorman friends who had just finished their shifts and were heading home

Unexpected double coupons when paying at another store.

But the most noticeable thing to me was that upon leaving the store with my abundance potatoes, I realized that the throbbing sinus headache that had plagued me all day had, for the first time, dissipated immensely, and so had my tiredness.

Here's why:

Abundance is our true nature.
That is why we feel down when we're in lack.
Our Soul recognizes that it's out of alignment with our true nature.

While we often easily connect that the way our physical body feels can have an impact on how we mentally, emotionally and energetically feel, we don’t often so easily connect that how we feel mentally, emotionally and energetically can impact how our body feels just as much, IF NOT MORE.

Today I encourage you to experiment with the idea of abundance and see what ways it impacts (for the better) your physical, mental, emotional, and energetic well-being.

One way you can experiment is by doing the fun Mind Mapping Activity I did with my class that you can do for yourself as well!

How to create a Mind Map

  1. Write abundance in the center of a piece of paper and draw a circle around it.

  2. Consider what your definition of abundance is.

  3. Draw a line off the center circle.

  4. At the end of that line write down something in your life that makes you feel abundant. (i.e. travel, the ocean, sunshine, etc.)

  5. Draw a line around that word/phrase.

  6. Draw lines off of that circle and begin to list, at the end of each line, reasons why that thing make you feel abundant

  7. Repeat steps 4 - 6 for at least 3-5 things that represent abundance in your life.

Here’s an example for you!

I hope you enjoy the Mind Mapping! My way of passing along the energy of abundance to you. I would love to hear how it goes! Let me know in the comment below.
