Having a hard time getting going in the morning?
On a scale of 1 to 10, how hard did you find it to get out of bed yesterday morning?
I always find the notion of working the Monday after Thanksgiving weekend to be somewhat torturous and after such a short week and busy weekend, the following week usually feels like it takes a little more energy and willpower to get through.
Over the weekend I followed my desires and chose to make day-of decisions for all of my plans based on my energy levels and what felt the most aligned with those.
As a result I had a delightful weekend and I am continuing to experiment with the practice this week.
I am also putting extra priority on the self-care practices that are the most grounding and nourishing for me to help rebalance my system, body and energy.
As someone who likes to do a lot, it is a CONSTANT practice for me to remember that I feel best when I move slowly and to give myself space between activities so that I’m not rushing from one thing to the next from morning to night.
One of my longest running practices is to make sure I have space in the morning so that I have time for the self-care rituals that support my lymphatic system, mental clarity and calmness and overall waking up of my body and mind.
It’s a great way to set up my day so that I move through it from a grounded and energized place.
As we shift into this last month of the 2022 and the darkest and shortest days of the year, I wanted to share part of this routine with you in case you could use some help getting going in the morning too!
