10 self care holiday gift ideas

It always takes me a little bit after Thanksgiving to get into the holiday spirit. I like each holiday to get its due time.

But I put up twinkly lights in my apartment on Sunday and I’m officially there! ✨

My week is filled with holiday social events every night and I’m also upping my daily prioritization of 2O-minute power naps to help counterbalance.

Because self-care is my favorite thing to to gift people (and spend money on myself), this week I wanted to share a few self-care gift ideas for you and your loved ones!

10 Self Care Gift Ideas + 2 of my favorite ways to donate that can change lives

Gift guide:

  1. Jade Face Rollers- I am so late to the party on this one but finally started using these daily recently. They’re so inexpensive and simple but always leave me feeling like I’m doing something a little luxurious for my skin in under 3 minutes.

  2. Mineral Fusion Makeup- I have used this EWG verified makeup for years and also products from their skincare line. I love it and often get asked what I do that keeps my skin looking so vibrant and youthful. Their bronzer is my best friend.

  3. Four Sigmatic – I love this as my morning “coffee” routine and have used it for years. I can’t do caffeine so use the non-caffeinated Think, Balance and Defend blends. All of their products (coffee included for those of you who love your caffeine) incorporate adaptogenic mushrooms to support your body’s wellbeing. You can use this link to get $20 of your first order.

  4. Tata Harper –  I have to admit I haven’t tried this skincare line yet but it is on the top of my list to order ASAP. I’m super excited to try their Concentrated Brightening Serum. They often have great sales and a generous rewards programs in addition to using natural and incredibly high quality ingredients in their products. Use this link to get $25 off $100 order (for first time buyers) when you sign up for their rewards program.

  5. One MedicalI have been a member of this medical practice for my PCP for years and recommend them to anyone who lives in a city where there are locations. The appointments are always 30 minutes, they offer free virtual “Treat me now” calls 24/7, their offices are calming and peaceful, they have labs at each location and a wealth of both eastern and western medicine knowledge amongst their providers. It makes prioritizing your health much easier and more enjoyable. You can use this link to get $50 off of membership.

  6. Plants First By Dr. Katie- A dear friend of mine and amazing integrative medicine physician wrote this book, which I gave to my mom last Christmas. She loves it and has purchased it for multiple family members.

  7. A Little Bit of Reiki By Valerie Oula- This is written by my friend and prior Kundalini Yoga teacher who has been a truly helpful and inspirational light on my journey over the past 10 years.

  8. Everyday Black Leggings - After my favorite brand of leggings was discontinued several years ago I have been on a constant search for an equal replacement. I finally found a pair that is not only comfortable (although I am still breaking them in a bit), but I was thrilled to find Pact, a company that is organic, carbon neutral and fair trade. I’m excited to try some of their other clothes in the near future! Use this link to get 20% off your first purchase.

  9. Insight Timer Year Membership- This is the meditation app I use myself and recommend to all my clients. There are thousands of meditations, classes and talks all available for free, including some of my own meditations. They do have a yearly subscription option if you or a loved one is looking to take some self-guided courses and dive deeper into various self-improvement topics at your own pace.

  10. Essential Oils: As many of you know, essential oils are one of my top 5 self care products that are part of my daily routine to support physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. They have been life changing for me, and I don’t say that lightly. I use and recommend Young Living, which also has a great rewards program. You can order products or sign up for membership here.

Donations:

  1. Kiva- This is more of a micro loan than a donation. You get to choose a specific person you would like to donate to, for example a woman building a sanitary toilet for her family in the Philippines,  (the person gets the money once their project is fully funded) and then slowly pays it back over time. The best part is that your funds, once paid back, can continue to be re-lent over and over again as many times as you want.

  2. The Giving Machine-These are basically vending machines set up with cards representing various donations you can pay for- like 100 polio vaccines or groceries for a family of 4, and you choose which cards you want and the charity then gets the money you’ve paid the machine. Last year each member of my family did it and it was a fun way for all of us to get to choose the donations that were meaningful to each of us.

May your holiday season be blessed and bright and may your heart be filled with peace.
