Feeling out of sync? (how to adjust to Daylight Saving Time more quickly)
Between spending last week in a different time zone, an overnight flight that I didn’t sleep on, and then Daylight Saving Time this weekend, it might go without saying that I have been a little out of sync this week!
The morning wake up struggle is real.
But you might be feeling the same way.
DST is not just about the gain or loss of an hour, it is something that throws off our circadian rhythms completely, in a similar way as any travel and changing time zones does.
Like me, you might be finding that:
You’re having a hard time settling down at night or waking up in the morning.
You’re prone to feeling extra snacky this week.
You're unfocused or finding it hard to concentrate or stick to a schedule.
Or that you just feel a little bit out of flow all the time right now.
All of this is part of your body, trying to readjust its rhythms to account for the change in daylight hours. And, it’s also your body getting ready to come into completely new rhythms and routines as we shift from winter to spring next week.
Click below to practice this tapping sequence to help your body readjust.
