Choose everyday love
When it comes to love, I prefer the small, simple and unexpected moments everyday over one big, grand sweeping gesture on occasion.
Our lives are a product not of what we do every once in a while, but of what we do most of the time.
Aristotle said, “quality is not an act, it’s a habit.”
And since all relationships begin with ourselves, feeling loved starts with self love.
I know I always feel happiest and healthiest when I am showing myself loving kindness.
Here are some of my favorite ways that are part of my regular self care routine.

I recently read the idea below and plan to put it into practice myself:
Make a list of 52 things that bring you joy, presence or happiness. (It may feel hard but try to keep going until you get to 52).
When you’re done, open your calendar and schedule one thing a week. Allow those things that need more time or planning to be scheduled further down the road. You now have an entire year of joy, presence and happiness.
